Style Week In Providence, RI

These are the I'm Your Present runway photos from The Providence Journal.

Style Week was so great. It was held at Hotel Providence, which was awesome. There were 2 shows a night for a week here in little Rhode Island! One of the Project Runway alum was there, showing off his collection. He seemed super supportive of every one of the designers. Obviously, it wasn't like fashion week in NY, but they tried with their tiny red carpet and logos as a back drop. Cute and tacky and fun at the same time.

I was soooo lucky and was behind the scenes for the I'm Your Present show, since that's where I work! (Sorry, I just love my job a little bit too much.) Kelly Eident and I figured being backstage would be pretty simple, but dressing models as fast as you can is not an easy task, even though they were just as desperate to get the fab clothes on! Luckily there were 4 dressers help us, because there were ten models and over 30 looks. Probably about 45 pieces total! It was the biggest rush of happiness and adrenaline I've ever had for sure.

Kelly was so kind and amazing enough to let me walk down the runway with her at the very end. Seeing everyone so exciting and proud of the collection she did make me have a huge smile smeared across my face, which ended up in the Providence Journal! That was pretty awesome, and i thought we were hot shit cause of it. I bought three damn copies haha. The caption also said I was one of her models, which made me feel fucking awesome cause I'm her assistant. Apparently I'm beautiful enough to be considered a model HAR HAR, JUST KIDDING.

So you guys should totally check out Kelly's amazing Etsy shop!
And below are some pictures of the fashion show, which was "Birthday Girl" themed by the way. (Totally amazing and awesome).

Taken by: Christopher Mongeau, who clearly did a great job.

I wish I could've taken backstage pictures, but it was so insane back there. The room we had to change the ten models in was a little bigger than the size of a closet. Good thing I'm not claustrophobic.

Kate

Kate Moss is obviously a legend. She's the shortest famous model, and she's over 30 and still going, which is pretty rare. I mean, she has been on more magazine covers, and in more ad campaigns than I can even count. Plus her line for Topshop is to die for-- totally her style. I love Kate, she has been in thousands of beautiful spreads. Her versatility, and ability to make nude shots and what could be considered "boring" into art is amazing. A true fashion chameleon.
