Lady Gaga's September Style: Hot or Not?

Just as the Internet started complaining about how Lady Gaga's style has gotten "ugly and boring," the month of September comes, and Gaga slays. She's gotten back into her leather, wigs, platforms, daring, provocative, fashion-forward ways. Just a lot more black clothing involved.

Here are some of her September 2015 street style looks:

I am obsessed with her latest looks and will definitely be looking at these pics for some fall fashion inspiration!

Body Shaming Ends When We Stop Shaming ALL Body Types -- In Defense of Being Skinny

Ok, so I’m kind of nervous about posting this because I know it isn’t the most popular opinion right now and it is EXTREMELY PERSONAL, but I can’t see images like this online and not feel hurt, and not say something. I found these images by typing "skinny" into google.
I have always hated being skinny, and can remember insults vividly, starting from earlier than second grade regarding my body type. I am naturally skinny, but I also have an ANXIETY disorder. When I get anxiety or stressed out, I have a hard time eating. It’s something I’m working on. I drink Ensure to try to gain weight, I’ve downloaded apps to help me gain weight, and nothing seems to work. I used to want more than anything to be curvy, so when I lost the weight I gained while pregnant, I was pretty heartbroken. I love the way curvy women look. I’m the skinniest in my family, so not only have I heard “you should eat more” from classmates and strangers, I’ve also heard it from family and friends.
Once when I was walking down the street, I heard two girls behind me say “EWW! Look at her legs, she is so skinny. Should we buy her a sandwich or put her out of her misery?”
AT ANY WEIGHT hearing someone say “EWW” as if they’ve stepped on roadkill when looking at your body is THE WORST FEELING.
I think the body positive movement is beautiful and inspiring when it includes all body types. But that AMAZING message and the brave women that post pictures of themselves to help others unfortunately gets lost when people write vicious things to skinny people.
I’ve received messages from people who have visited my shop saying that me modelling is “pro-anorexia marketing.” That comment hurt so bad because I started my shop to celebrate individuality. To think of my body as “pro-anorexia” is heartbreaking, because I have known people that struggle with that illness, and it is HORRIBLE. Using mental illnesses as an insult is SO insensitive to those who are in the grips of those illnesses, as well as those who are naturally small.
I am a mother, I’m not in a place where I can pay models just yet, so in the meantime, I create EVERY item in my shop, I photograph everything by MYSELF, post everything, and yes, have to model for the shop too. It takes away from my hard work when I hear things like “you should hired a model, because your look will not sell anything”, sometimes it makes me want to cry, sometimes it makes me want to give up.
The point of all of this, the reason I am being so open about the issue and my personal experiences with it, is that women should SUPPORT one another, not promote one body type while bashing another.
“Real women have curves.” I gave birth to a healthy daughter, I work REALLY hard, I try to better myself and become healthier every day. I am a good person. I have made mistakes but have learned from them. I am strong. I am a survivor. I am a woman. Hear me fucking roar.

Chanel Continues Celeb Feminist Movement by Staging Protest Lead by Supermodels

Karl Lagerfeld, creative director of Chanel, is known for his elaborate, luxurious runway shows.

For his Spring 2015 collection, that he showed in Paris, he staged a feminist protest led by supermodels. Gisele, Cara D, and newcomer Kendall Jenner just to name a few.

Feminism has been in the spotlight lately, most recently from Beyonce's performance at the MTV VMAs this summer, and Emma Watson's public statements.

What do you think of feminism in fashion and entertainment?

Gemma Ward Makes a Comeback & Causes Controvery in Latest Magazine Spread

Within one week the fashion world and the press have been super excited to see Gemma Ward back on the runway, only to find offense in her latest editorial for Marie Claire Australia.
The supermodel took some time off from modelling in 2007, did some acting, and had a baby.

We thought we'd never see her on the catwalk again! Yet there she was, opening the show for Prada during fashion week.

And it was awesome!
A few days after her much celebrated comeback to the fashion world, Gemma Ward was under fire for an editorial she shot with the Australian Marie Claire. A New Zealand professor pointed out the Maori moko painted on Ward's chin for the magazine's October issue.

“It is disturbing that Marie Claire is so removed from current discussions globally about the importance of the fashion world to be ethical and culturally inclusive.” The professor, Dr. Ellis said.
The spread was intended to pay tribute to Jean Paul Gaultier, and Marie Claire has since issued a statement apologizing to anyone that found the photograph offensive. "We would not knowingly support the appropriation of any aspect of another culture without the participation or support of the members of that culture.”
While the image may be offensive, Gemma seems to be out of the line of attack. Let's hope the beauty can enjoy her return to being the queen of fashion, and continue pushing her fans to the edge of their seats!
The magazine is on stands now, will you pick up a copy?

Fall Fashion- Make the Cold More Bearable

If you're like me, you aren't a fan of cold weather. The one silver lining I can find is the fashion fall has to offer. As the weather gets colder, more layers and creativity are required in styling a cute outfit.
FALL WARDROBE ESSENTIALS:
1. Leggings - Leggings are great and versatile in the fall, because you can pair them with long coats, vests, sweaters, or tops, and NOT look like you just came from the gym.

2. Boots -- My favorite are knee high or thigh high boots, especially to tuck your leggings or skinny jeans into, but since there is usually not snow in the fall, you can also rock a cute pair of ankle boots or comfortable wedges.

3. Hats -- Hats are a great wardrobe accessory for the fall. They keep your hair from blowing around, and add some extra pizazz to your ensemble.

4. Sweaters -- Whether you go bold with bright colors or like sticking to basics, sweaters of all lengths are necessary and stylish with any bottom you may choose to pair them with.

6. A Versatile Purse -- Also another essential accessory (for any season really). You can get a bigger purse to hold gloves, or a layer you may have peeled off, hold all your items, and have it match and look good with different colors and layers you've decided on for the day.

The Blonds have been a celebrity favorite for a while, being worn by Madonna, Beyonce, and countless other female sensations. This season at New York Fashion Week, The Blonds have made headlines with their wild creations.
Models strutted down the runway with massive braids, genie inspired looks, and bright, playful colors. Flowers, thigh highs, and bling were not lacking in this highly publicized and unique show.

Lana Del Rey Releases Music Video for Ultraviolence

Hot or Not: Lana Del Rey's New Music Video for Ultraviolence photo 1
Lana Del Rey has just released her latest music video, Ultraviolence, the title track to the album.
She returns to her comfortable grainy, vintage-looking filiming for the video, released yesterday.
Lana dresses as a lonely bride, walking on a wooded path alone in a white dress and veil, holding a bouquet. Sometimes she mouths the lyrics, but mostly not.
The rest of the time she's eating fruit, walking vacantly, or sucking on a guys finger.
The album, Ultraviolence has been praised, with a few minor hiccups due to the nature of her lyrics, but sales and popularity remain strong.
Do you think the new video does the song & album justice? Is it hot or not?!

The Best of the Holographic Fashion Trend

The 1990's and early 2000's were littered with looks that included holographic accessories, or full-on, head-to-toe outfits. The styles were originally worn by those who rocked the skateboarder and grunge fashion in the 1990's, but the trend started as early as the '70s. Leading designers began recreating these previously popular styles during the 2010s in the runway, leading these garments to be mass produced.
With the influence of hipster fashion becoming more acknowledged by the fashion industry, this trend doesn't appear to be going anywhere soon.

HERE ARE MY FAVORITE HOLOGRAPHIC ITEMS FROM TODAY:

Dr. Marten Hologram Boots

Dolls Kill Hologram Outfit

Hologram Seashell Clutch

Glittery Silver Lipstick to Match

Hologram Sandals Perfect for Summer

The Greatest Sunglasses Ever Made

Crystals: Possible Inspiration Behind the Trend

The revision of the 90's holographic backpack

Hologram Club Wear

Nothing Compares 2 U -- RIP MCQUEEN

Would you rock the holographic revised trend?
